Being my mother's daughter and my daughter's mom.Somewhere the difference between the two blurred and disappeared before I knew.The relationship of a mother and daughter is so unique in so many ways.You understand your own mother a little better after you become a mother yourself. There are times when you are a mother to your own mother and a daughter to your own daughter.Often you see reflections of your own mother in your daughter, which may not be a trait of yours.The way your mother and your daughter bond is heart warming.And somewhere in that untouched part of your memory which goes down your childhood lane makes you revisit all those lullaby your mother sang to you and you never even knew,you end up humming it.All the pranks and mischief you did.All the bed time stories your mother told you.All the punishment you got from your mother,all of that and more being forwarded to your daughter now.And yes the precious values and manners of becoming a lady,imparted by that strict hand and loving heart of your mother,when even that one look of her eye imparted the message well down your spine.

It is such a divine relationship as a daughter or as a mother that no words can be enough to ever define or describe it.But I always end up thinking will I ever be as good a mother as my own mother or as doting a daughter as my daughter........
